Project Summary

In 2018, voters passed a $120 million Parks, Greenways Recreation and Open Space bond. Renovations and improvements slated for Blue Jay Point focus on modernizing key amenities across the site to significantly enhance accessibility, functionality and the overall visitor experience. Core improvements include the renovation of the habitat education pond, a new day use picnic shelter, playground shade structures, nature playground expansion, trail upgrades to meet current ADA standards and the expansion and enhancement of parking areas near both the playground and Go Ape Zipline Park. Construction is scheduled to begin fall 2025 and completed by fall 2026. The total investment for Blue Jay Point County Park is $7.3 million.
