Project Summary
In 2018, voters passed a $120 million Parks, Greenways Recreation and Open Space bond. Renovations and improvements slated for Harris Lake focus on improving existing facilities at three of the most popular areas: An accessible kayak launch at the day use area, disc golf course improvements, restroom facility, boat storage facility and picnic shelter near the fishing pond area, and expansion of the Park Office. Construction is scheduled to begin fall 2025 and completed by fall 2026. The total investment for Harris Lake County Park is approximately $5.2 million.
