Project Summary

The Knightdale South Fire & EMS Station is a co-location of the Town of Knightdale Fire Department (Knightdale Fire Station #3) and Wake County EMS. The facility was recently conveyed to Wake County after serving the Knightdale community for over 25 years. As a result, the building has undergone a major renovation to improve living quarters and work areas for both fire and EMS. The renovations to the facility include a large kitchen with dining area, day rooms for each company, new bathrooms with showers, and updated support space. Building systems are also being updated. Exterior improvements include connecting the building to public water, installing a new fire line to provide fire sprinkler coverage to the building, and updating signage.
