In partnership with the Wake County Energy Advisory Commission, Marbles Kids Museum is hosting the Wake County Energy Expo @ Marbles on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 1-3 p.m. The goals of the Energy Expo are to build knowledge about responsible energy usage, expose kids and their families to energy-related careers and inspire adults to consider making more sustainable energy choices. The Energy Expo is free with admission. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.

The Wake County Energy Expo @ Marbles will offer activities and resources to engage children and families in learning all about energy – sources, sustainable choices, exciting innovations and future careers! Team Marbles, the Wake County Energy Advisory Commission and other Expo partners will offer play-based activities for kids to learn more about energy and share resources to equip adults to create eco-friendly homes and habits.

This new, interactive expo aims to help broaden energy conservation education to all family members. Children can engage in hands on activities related to energy, while parents learn about making sustainable choices at home. Visitors can expect to see leading energy companies, as well as researchers from local Universities, including NCSU's OraCel program. Participants will also interact with representatives from Dominion Energy, Duke Energy, electric car company Vinfast, NC Greenpower, Eaton, and more!

Along with the exhibits, the Marbles IMAX theater will feature several documentary movies as part of the Sustainability Film Fest. The films aim to raise awareness about the importance of making sustainable choices that will have a positive impact on the Wake County community.
