Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians are available to give hands-on support to parents and caregivers to help them learn how to install their child safety seat correctly. There are Child Passenger Safety Seat Permanent Checking Stations and Safety Seat Check events periodically throughout the year.
The car seat installation experience is an interactive one and takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on the car seat and the vehicle. Parents and caregivers will need to provide car seat manufacturer information before their scheduled appointment. This will ensure proper installation, fit for your child, and that your car seat is not expired and is not listed for recalls.
Here is How You Should Prepare
If you are a parent or caregiver and need to have your seat checked, we offer car seat checks Monday-Thursday weekly. You will need to call and schedule an appointment with one of our technicians. It is helpful especially with older children to have them present when installing seats, but not required. If your child is unable to be present, please be able to provide their height and weight.
Please bring both the safety seat instructions and your vehicle's owner manual to your appointment.
