The Wake County Affordable Housing Advisory Group (AHA Group) is composed of nine regular members who represent the diverse viewpoints of community stakeholders on all aspects of affordable housing and act as an informational resource to support HACR in creating affordable housing in Wake County. Efforts will be made to recruit members from across the county, representative of municipalities and unincorporated areas. To ensure a focused yet diverse group of housing experts, we are transitioning away from designated seats and reducing the number of members.
The group will consist of representatives from these industries:
- Education (Higher Education, WCPSS)
- Housing Development Industry
- Service Providers
- Veteran services / affiliated
- Health Care
- Individuals with lived experience in housing instability
- Business & Economic Development
- Financial Services Industry
