Pick up sample bottles or drop off samples for private well water testing. Testing is offered for coliform and E. coli bacteria, inorganics, iron bacteria and sulfur bacteria. Samples are accepted from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Lab does not accept bacteriological samples the day before a holiday. See below for exceptions.
The Water Quality Lab has reopened as of March 2, 2026, at the new Public Health Center at 200 Swinburne St. Sample drop-off hours are currently:
