Camps are more extended programs offered by park staff during the summer months. You can learn more about the camps offered below.

General Day Camp Information

  • Camps for the upcoming season will be announced here. 2024 camp registration will be available beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1!
  • Camp registration is online. Spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly, so register early!
  • Campers will have two staff with them at all times.
  • All camps meet at the Cypress Shelter.
  • Campers bring their own lunch and snack.
  • A registration packet, including a health history form, will be emailed before the start of camp.
  • A parent letter containing important information and a basic schedule of activities will be emailed the week before the start of camp.

Camp Offerings

Kurious Kids

June 25–27, 2024 (Tuesday–Thursday)
9 a.m.–noon
For ages 4–6
Cost: $36/child

Kurious Kids will discover the natural world of Harris Lake County Park through short hikes, themed crafts and games, fishing, dip-netting in the pond and meeting our program animals. Make new friends and have lots of fun as we explore the park together.

Nature Explorers

July 15–19, 2024 (Monday–Friday)
9 a.m.–1 p.m.
For ages 7–11
Cost: $80/child

Each day will be a new adventure! Go fishing and canoeing, take a wagon ride to our Longleaf Forest, scoop in the pond to see who lives there, create themed crafts, play games and explore nature as you meet new friends.

Nature Explorers Mini Day Camp
