Group Programs

Lake Crabtree offers a variety of environmental education programs for public and private schools, scout groups, birthday parties, and other organized groups. Programs can be conducted at the park or off-site and are tailored to the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Please allow at least one month’s advance notice to schedule a program.

Call 919-460-2723 or email susan.jones@wake.gov for more information or to request a program date. You can begin the reservation process by choosing a topic from our LCCP Group Programs and filling out the LCCP Group Program Request Form. If you have questions about a program topic that is not listed, please ask our staff – we will do our best to accommodate your group.

Group size is generally limited to 15–30 participants per staff member, depending on the program and participants’ ages. Larger groups may be accommodated if additional staff are available. Pre-K programs are available to groups of 15 or fewer.

School Programs

If you are a classroom teacher, Lake Crabtree has developed an LCCP Educator's Guide to facilitate choosing a program for your class either at your school or at the park. The guide has information about Lake Crabtree County Park and links to our Group Program list. This list recommends programs by grade level as well as outlining what essential science standards are met by each program. For a full listing of all standards met by all our available programs, please consult this All Standards Met
