Wake County Wellness Programs

The Health Promotion Section of Wake County Public Health aims to create healthy communities through a variety of health, nutrition and exercise programs that work together to improve the quality of life for all Wake County residents. These programs are offered at no cost, and most can be tailored for all fitness levels.

Movin’ and Groovin’

Movin' and Groovin' is back in April 2026!

The Health Promotion Chronic Disease Prevention Section invites you to join us for a free 10-week Movin’ and Groovin’ Community Physical Activity Program at Spring Forest Road Park (4203 Spring Forest Road, Raleigh).  You are going to love the fun, laid-back environment of this exercise program.

We will meet on Thursday evenings from April 16 - June 18 from 6 - 7 p.m.

This program is open to men, women, and children over the age of 12.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

5:45 pm - Registration

6:00 pm - Warm up & group exercise session

6:20 pm - Group walk

6:50 pm – Group cool down & stretch   

Weekly snacks and prizes will be provided.
