At-home STI tests available at no cost!
Wake County Public Health is now offering free, at-home STD test kits to the public, making it more convenient than ever for individuals to take charge of their health. Residents can pick up a test kit at the pharmacy inside the Wake County Public Health Center or at one of our regional centers. No appointment is necessary, ensuring a simple and accessible way to get tested.
Using the test kit is easy:
- Take the test kit home.
- Collect a blood and urine sample.
- Mail the sample using the pre-paid packaging.
- Receive test results within 2-5 days.
If someone tests positive, Wake County Public Health can assist with treatment and connect them to the care they need.
Wake County HIV/STD Community Program
The HIV/STD Program provides prevention education and testing services throughout Wake County.
HIV, Hepatitis C, and STD testing are available at the Wake County Public Health Building (10 Sunnybrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27610).
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (8 a.m.–5 p.m.) Tuesday (9 a.m.–5 p.m.)

HIV/STD Evening Clinic (Clinic E)
Wake County Public Health Building (10 Sunnybrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27610)
- Free and Confidential testing for (HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Hepatitis C)
- No Appointment Needed!
- Every Tuesday and Thursday (5:30–7:30 p.m.); follow-up test results are given on-site between 7:30–8 p.m.

Hepatitis C Clinic (Clinic A)
