Our Solid Waste Team provides waste disposal and recycling drop-off services for Wake County, along with award-winning education programs. Last year, the South Wake Landfill accepted 516,109 tons of garbage, and our Waste & Recycling facilities recycled 40,751 tons of materials!
Service Updates
Wake County Convenience Center Site 6 at 3913 Lillie Liles Rd is unable to accept furniture or other bulky items while equipment is replaced. Residents who normally use Site 6 are encouraged to use Convenience Center Site 8 at 2001 Durham Rd/Hwy 98 in Wake Forest instead.

Facilities Hours of Operations
All facilities are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (at noon) and Christmas Day.
