Tax Liens

In accordance with North Carolina General Statutes and an order by the Wake County Board of Commissioners, reportable tax liens for the year 2022 will be advertised in the News & Observer on March 3, 2023. If these taxes remain unpaid, the lien may be foreclosed and the property sold to satisfy the claim.

This listing reflects accounts unpaid as of the close of business on February 15, 2023 and includes all reportable uncollected 2022 municipal taxes for the following municipalities located in Wake County: Angier, Apex, Cary, Clayton, Durham, Fuquay Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell and Zebulon. The amount advertised will continue to be increased by interest and cost, and the omission of interest and cost from the amount advertised will not constitute a waiver of the taxing unit’s claim for those items.
