House Key on American Flag

Wake County Veterans Services is dedicated to ensuring that every veteran has access to safe, stable and affordable housing. We provide assistance with emergency shelter, transitional housing and long-term housing solutions through partnerships with local organizations and federal programs.

For male veterans experiencing homelessness, the South Wilmington Street Center (1420 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh) offers emergency shelter and supportive services to help individuals regain stability.

For female veterans experiencing homelessness, Women Veterans Supportive Services offers specialized assistance, including emergency and transitional housing, job readiness programs and access to permanent housing solutions tailored to their needs.

Additionally, Oak City Cares (1430 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh) serves as a resource hub, connecting veterans to housing assistance, meals and essential support services.

Our team works closely with veterans and their families to navigate available housing resources, rental assistance programs and permanent housing opportunities. If you or a veteran you know needs housing support, contact Wake County Veterans Services today at veterans@wake.gov or call 919-212-8387 (VETS).
