Join us to raise awareness, promote wellness and reduce stigma around mental health.

Walk in support of those facing mental health challenges while connecting with local resources and self-care strategies. Empowering youth, families and communities toward healthier minds and stronger connections.

Event Highlights:

  • Enjoy a scenic and accessible walk at Historic Oak View County Park, with a path that starts at the Wake County Extension Building, circles through the park, and returns to the Extension.
  • Educational displays: Participants can learn about pressing teen mental health burnout challenges through informative exhibits created by members of the Wake County 4-H Teen Council.
  • Community engagement: The walk is more than a procession—it's an opportunity for participants to take part in activities and conversations that build awareness, foster a supportive environment, and address the stigma of mental health.
  • Informational resources: The event aims to connect people with mental health resources and raise awareness for a stronger support system within the community.
  • Refreshments and snacks: In addition to the walk and activities, snacks will be provided for all participants.
