Come help Zone Captain, Parnell Bell of the Blue Phoenix Group, clean this urban site that has been part of Big Sweep for over 15 years! The area is a creek in a wooded, urban area. Volunteers will meet at the bridge on Stonybrook Dr. We will be cleaning along Brentwood Rd., Stonybrook Rd., and along the stream banks. Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get wet and/or dirty. Drinking water, bug spray, and sun protection are recommended. Cleanup supplies including litter grabbers, gloves, and bags will be provided. Since this is one of our more urban sites, volunteers should understand the following: it is near a busy road, has steep banks in some areas, has had sightings of venomous snakes and poisonous plants, and has had hazardous urban litter.

Pre-registration is required.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to volunteer. Adults must register and accompany children under the age of 18. Everyone who volunteers must sign a release form. If anyone is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian must sign their form as well.
