Come join our 2022 Award winners for Outstanding New Volunteers, Margaret and Jonny, on a new stretch for Big Sweep on the beautiful Neuse River! Volunteers will paddle down the river with a floatilla of others grabbing any and all litter they find along the way. It is recommended you have some paddling experience. Big Sweep will be providing watercrafts for those that do not have them. Please feel free to bring your own watercraft too! There are a limited number of spots for this cleanup. Drinking water, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended.

Breakfast and Lunch provided by our amazing partners, Heidelberg Materials!

Volunteers will check in and be given breakfast between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. at the Milburnie parking lot. Afterwards, watercrafts will be provided if you do not have one and we will take off down the Neuse. In the event of bad weather, we will reschedule.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old! Adults only please. Each volunteer must sign a liability waiver.
