How to Streamline your Construction Plan Submittal: Tips on Erosion and Sediment Control, Stormwater Management and Floodplain Guidance

About This Event

Each year in Wake County hundreds of acres of land are used to build subdivisions, single family homes, shopping centers, office centers and other developments. Without protective measures these exposed areas are vulnerable to erosion and sedimentation that damages properties, streams, and other water resources.

If you submit erosion control and stormwater management plans to Wake County and want to understand how we review those submittals and therefore streamline your permit review process, you don’t want to miss this FREE workshop.

Our Wake County Watershed Management team invites you to join the one-hour online workshop on Wednesday, March 29, at 1 p.m. Environmental Engineer Supervisor Barney Blackburn, PE, CPESC, CPSWQ, will provide guidance on erosion and sediment control, stormwater management and floodplain construction plan submittals to Wake County and our municipal partner jurisdictions (Erosion & Sediment Control Only – Town of Garner and Morrisville, Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Management – Town of Rolesville, Wendell and Zebulon).

Topics to be covered include:

  • Erosion and sediment control forms, including financial responsibility ownership forms, landowner consent letters, deeds, and USGS and soil survey maps
  • Erosion and sediment control plan and sediment basin reminders
  • Stormwater management design and Neuse River stormwater rule updates
  • Flood Study submittal requirements

Attendees are required to register for this Zoom meeting. A question and answer period will be included. Reserve your spot below and you’ll receive a confirmation as soon as you’re approved!
