Wake County Human Services (WCHS) is a consolidated agency that encompasses the departments of Public Health and Social Services. An array of services offered includes public health and healthcare clinics, child welfare and economic services, transportation and other related services. WCHS provides services to approximately 200,000 people a year.
The Wake County Department of Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization (HACR) assists those experiencing a housing crisis. Services include housing support, homeless services, community resources, and the veterans' service office.
