About the Food Security Program

Our team is dedicated to bringing food to all of Wake County. Together staff, VISTAs and volunteers strive to make a difference in the community.

Expanded Food & Nutrition Educators

Through a community-based, relationship-driven, hands-on educational approach, Expanded Food and Nutrition has directly impacted economic, obesity, and food  insecurity challenges that hinder the nutritional health and wellbeing of this nation. EFNP Educators work with families, youth, and community organizations across Wake County to teach nutrition education, budgeting, cooking and kitchen safety skills!

Food Security Project Manager

The Food Security Program Manager works to increase awareness of food security work underway and form vital links between partners and programs within government and community agencies. The Food Security Program Manager also manages and works with the Wake Food Security AmeriCorps VISTA program.
