“These remarkable designs reflect the creativity and love of reading found throughout our community,” said Wake County Commissioner Tara Waters. “Summer is always an exciting time of year at our libraries, and this contest is a great way to get even more people involved. We hope this inspires people of all ages to express their creativity and share their love of reading with the community.”

Winning bookmarks will be professionally printed and distributed at all 23 Wake County Public Libraries locations during the 2025 Summer Reading Program, while supplies last. In addition, each winner will receive 20 printed copies of their design, a printed poster and recognition at a special reception.

An online gallery featuring honorable mentions can be found at guides.wake.gov/BookmarkContest.
