Beech Bluff Bash features entertainment, activities and more
Get ready to walk among the treetops, dig into community gardening and explore miles of trails at Wake County’s newest park. Celebrate the opening of Beech Bluff County Park, located at 3321 NC Highway 42 in Willow Spring, at the first ever Beech Bluff Bash on Saturday, March 15.
“This park represents a major milestone in our commitment to expanding access to outdoor recreation and preserving open space in Wake County,” said Susan Evans, chair of the Wake County Board of Commissioners. “We’re excited for the community to explore and experience this beautiful park.”
Beech Bluff Bash kicks off with an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. at the Sage Shelter. The Sage Shelter is located across from the Park Center near the open field. Join us to hear from special guests and grab a couple commemorative giveaways! Speakers include:
- Wake County Commissioner Safiyah Jackson
- Deputy County Manager Ashley Jacobs
- Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Director Chris Snow
- Beech Bluff County Park Manager Christina Sorensen Hester
After the ceremony, spread out and explore the park! Grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks, take a guided hike (registration is required), visit our exhibitors, listen to live music (bring a chair or blanket!) and take in some great agricultural demonstrations. Beech Bluff Bash wraps up at 3 p.m., but the park will remain open until 7 p.m.
