Wake County libraries kick off Black History Month with special series

Wake County Public Libraries will celebrate Black History Month in February through a special series of programs honoring Black creativity, history and culture. With free events for children, teens and adults, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while engaging with Black artists, musicians and more.

“Black History Month is a chance for us to come together as a community and gain insight from the powerful stories of Black artists and innovators,” said Wake County Commissioner Tara Waters. “I invite everyone to take part in these programs and join us in honoring this important legacy.”
