Wake County Public Health is inviting teens to hit pause on the stress of school, screens, social media and everyday life at the 2026 Teen Spring Kickback on Monday, April 6.
This free one-day event will give teens a space to connect, recharge and build the knowledge and confidence they need to make healthy choices.
The Teen Spring Kickback will be on Monday, April 6, from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. at Urban Air in Raleigh. It's open to teens currently enrolled in high school.
"Youth in high school are sorting through more information and pressure than ever before,” said Wake County Commissioner Cheryl Stallings. “This teen summit gives them a space that feels welcoming and real. A place where they can get trustworthy information, connect with their peers and feel supported."
Why teens should attend
The Teen Spring Kickback is led by Wake County’s HIV, STD & Hep C Community Program and Wake County Child Welfare. The event creates an open environment for teens to explore topics that matter to them, including:
- Navigating online influence and misinformation
- Building strong communication skills
- Understanding sexual health and HIV/STI prevention
- Handling peer pressure and substance-use risks
There will also be games, music, interactive activities, food, giveaways and more to keep teens engaged and active.
Space is limited and registration is required. Parents can sign their kids up at wake.gov/teensummit.
The Teen Spring Kickback is presented by Wake County Public Health and Wake County Social Services, in partnership with the Wake Partners HIV/STI Coalition.
