Important Note: All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Release Form. All minors must bring a completed form signed by a parent or legal guardian, and all participants are encouraged to bring their completed forms with them.
Big Sweep
Fall 2025 Big Sweep
Saturday, Oct. 11
9 a.m.–noon
Help clean up Lake Crabtree's shoreline and other areas around the park. Individuals, families and groups can register to participate in this event. Anyone under the age of 18 (including high school students) must be accompanied by an adult. Gloves and bags will be provided. Participants must complete a Volunteer Waiver Form prior to the event. Long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required. Drinking water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Be prepared to drive to your location, since not all spots are easily accessible from inside the park.

Craft/Activity Prep for Creepy Crabtree

4–6 p.m.
Help park staff prepare crafts and activities for Creepy Crabtree! We will be cutting, folding, copying and gathering supplies for the big event at the end of the week. Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form to let us know you want to help!
Creepy Crabtree

10 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Creepy Crabtree is a unique opportunity to combine Halloween thrills with hands-on learning about the natural world's spookiest aspects. Volunteers will help park staff run booths, activities, crafts and more. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged! Bring a water bottle and a light lunch or snack.
