The Board of Commissioners sets the County’s property tax rate, regulates land use and zoning outside municipal jurisdictions, and adopts the annual budget. 2026 State of the County Address
Wake County Board of Commissioners Chair Don Mial will host the annual State of the County Address on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Wake County Justice Center, 300 S. Salisbury St., downtown Raleigh.
The State of the County Address is a public event, and all who are invested in Wake County’s work are welcome to attend. Following a reception at noon, the program begins at 1 p.m.
