Proper completion of the wellhead helps protect water quality and aids in well maintenance and repair and proper function of the well.
A properly completed wellhead will include at a minimum:

Grout to land surface

Top of casing at least 12” above land surface

Half-inch access port and vent

Watertight pipe and electrical entry

Watertight well seal or cap

Downturned threadless sampling tap

Permanently attached Well Contractor ID Plate

Permanently attached Pump Installer ID Plate
