Child Welfare Parent Education Services works to create safe and stable homes by strengthening families, promoting healthy child development and reducing the likelihood of child abuse and neglect.

Goals of Parent Education Services

  • To increase parents’ abilities to cope with everyday stresses 
  • To improve parents’ connections to other people 
  • To increase parents’ knowledge of parenting and child development 
  • To equip parents with concrete supports in times of need 
  • To increase parents’ skills in being consistent and nurturing their children 
  • To increase awareness of child sexual abuse and how to prevent it
