"Library on the Go" is a mobile library experience that will bring the Bookmobile or pop-up library to a location near you. With Library on the Go you can:
- Register for a library card
- Browse and check out books
- Return borrowed materials
- Take part in library programs
Services for Children
Purpose
Wake County Public Libraries’ Library on the Go aims to increase library awareness, access and use for the residents of Wake County. It serves to nurture and cultivate early literacy skills in young children, fostering a lifelong love for reading and learning from an early age.

Wake County Public Libraries’ Library on the Go works with partner organizations and community agencies to identify site locations and community events for service.

Services for Seniors
Purpose
Wake County Public Libraries’ Library on the Go aims to increase library awareness, access and use for the residents of Wake County. It serves to support seniors by providing opportunities for connection, lifelong learning, and access to library resources in places where they live and gather.
Service Priorities
Wake County Public Libraries’ Library on the Go works with partner organizations and community agencies to identify site locations and community events for service. A current partnership with Meals on Wheels Friendship Cafes allows us to bring library services directly to seniors in welcoming community spaces, combining access to resources with opportunities for social connection.
