Public Programs
FWS: Bug Hunt
Friday, May 1 , 10-11 a.m.
Search for insects and other things that crawl, fly, and skitter with Green Hills staff. Learn about what lives in the park and use some of our bug hunting equipment. A fun activity on a traditional calendar Teacher Workday!
This program is all outdoors with some uneven surfaces.
Sun Printing
Friday, June 12, 10-11 a.m.
Use the rays of the sun and natural materials to create a work of art. Drop by and check out our hands-on craft any time from 10 - 11 a.m. No registration needed!
Monthly 5k and 10k Races
US Road Running will host monthly 5k and 10k races at the park on the following dates in 2026:
January 10, 17 & 31, February 8, 14 & 21, March 14 & 21, April 11 & 18, May 9, 16 & 30, June 13 & 20, July 11 & 18, August 8, 15 & 29, September 12 & 19, October 10, 17 & 31, November 14 & 21, and December 12 & 19.
Expect busier than normal use of the Pedestrian Loop around the Big Hill on these dates from park opening until 11 a.m.
