The South Wake Landfill is permitted to accept municipal solid waste. That includes residential waste from households and commercial waste from businesses.

Tipping Fees
- Municipal Solid Waste: $37 per ton.
- Includes a $2 per ton State of North Carolina excise tax.
Payment Methods
The South Wake Landfill accepts payments by cash, check, credit card (up to $200 - VISA, Mastercard, Discover, Google Pay, Apple Pay) or through a Wake County credit account (customers invoiced monthly).

To open a credit account with Wake County, complete the Landfill Credit Application. Submit your completed application following the directions at the top of the application.
