2026 Update:
Due to our bond improvement projects, we are not offering programs until tentatively late fall 2026. We are currently booking programs through spring 2027.
Field Trip Types
There are four options available for planning an environmental education field trip to Blue Jay Point. Reservations are required for all programs, field trips and materials.
General Group Visit – Visit and enjoy the park on your own schedule. No staff-led services are included with this option. Please contact us if your trip will have 50 or more people. We have tips to help make your trip a success!
Discovery Box/Resource Loan – This includes in-park use of reserved Discovery Boxes with written activity instructions. No staff-led program services are included in this option. Reservation of materials is required.
Group Program – This option includes services of Blue Jay Point staff conducting a one-hour nature program. Please see our Group Program Guide for program topic descriptions, suggestions for your grade level and our frequently asked questions. Our programs are most successful with 10-25 participants. We schedule programs up to a year in advance. **Note: Blue Jay's staff-led programs go on rain or shine – we have great indoor resources and activities to use when needed!
Overnight Lodge – This option includes overnight use of the Lodge, library resources, Discovery Boxes and equipment, as available. No staff-led program services are included, though you are welcome to schedule guided group programs during your stay. Please read the following for more information about our Overnight Lodge facility.
Preschool
