Blue Jay Point County Park offers major events in a festival format centered around a nature, history or recreational topic. These large one-day events usually occur in the spring or fall. Learn more about the special events below.

Songbird Celebration (April 29, 2023)

Songbird Celebration is an annual event celebrating the return of migratory songbirds and in honor of World Migratory Bird Day.

Big Sweep Lakeside Cleanup (Oct. 7, 2023)

Big Sweep is held at Blue Jay Point on the first Saturday in October annually.

9 a.m.–noon

Join ranks to help clean up the Falls Lake shoreline around Blue Jay Point. All volunteers must be ages 8 and up. Volunteers under age 16 must come with a participating supervisory adult or parent/guardian. This is an excellent opportunity to provide a great community service – preregistration is required – groups and individuals may register beginning in August.
