Health & Human Services provides public health, social services and transportation services to the residents of Wake County. We serve over 200,000 people annually at locations across the county. We have a diverse staff of approximately 1,600 employees that make up our five divisions of child welfare, clinics, public health, social services and administration & operations. The Health & Human Services Director reports to the County Manager and the Human Services Board.
Wake County offices will be closed Friday, April 18, in observance of Good Friday. Some locations may also be closed Sunday, April 20, for Easter. Check our Holiday Schedule for more information.
